Serve dry or with some water to increase aroma for your dog. We recommend splitting these daily guidelines into 2 meals. Feeding amounts are guidelines only and may vary based on activity level, health condition, life stage and temperature. It is important to maintain your pet’s body condition for their long-term health. Since Solid Gold pet foods are complete and balanced, additional foods, treats and chews may alter that balance. Be sure to offer fresh, clean water daily. We recommend your dog see the veterinarian annually.
Transition Instructions
Switching to any new dog food should be a gradual transition over 7 – 10 days. Replace 25% of the current food with Solid Gold for 2 to 3 days, then feed a little more Solid Gold over the next 5 – 7 days until your dog is eating Solid Gold exclusively. This gradual transition will help reduce digestive upsets that may occur due to the change in diet.
Venison n potato grain free –
I prefer venison food for my diabetic schnauzer because venison meat does not have fat, cholesterol, and it’s a red meat. Solid Gold is grain free, a lot of those grains have carbs and the bad sugars. The other simple healthy ingredients in Solid Gold are high in fiber and stay in his system longer for him to metabolize their natural sugars properly. I’m able to keep his glucose very stable on his twice a day feedings. I mix in a little hot water to make him think it has gravy. My other 2 doggies like it too.
Love this food –
Our French Bulldog was constantly throwing up after eating. It was getting to be a serious problem. He was on another Solid Gold food at the time. I bought the sensitive stomach and the problem immediately went away. He has not thrown up once since I switched. He also loves it, I used to put his food down for the day but now I have to do it twice a day because he eats it all up. Extremely satisfied!!
