Adult cats: Adult cats should be fed either once or twice per day. When you first start feeding Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Green Pea & Chicken Dry Cat Food, we suggest to start with the amounts recommended in the table. The amount of food should always be adjusted to suit your cat’s needs. If you would like to provide a special treat for your cat, you can add small amounts of Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Chicken & Green Pea Canned Cat Food. Gestating and Lactating Queens: Gestating and lactating queens will consume more food, usually an additional 1/2 – 2 daily. Older cats: As your cat begins to age, his energy expenditure will decrease. Decreasing the amount of food accordingly will allow for the maintenance of proper body weight for your less active cat. Older cats are sometimes more reluctant to eat hard foods. Adding larger amounts of Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Chicken & Green Pea Canned Cat Food will help the most “finicky” eater enjoy their daily meals.
These feeding guidelines are suggested only. Feeding amounts may vary by breed, activity level, temperament and climate. Amounts are recommended for an average cat with normal activity.
We recommend that you do not add vitamins, minerals or any other supplements, except upon the advice of a veterinarian. The maintenance of proper body weight is most important for your cat’s health. Consult your veterinarian for specific weight recommendations for your cat. Remember, fresh clean water should be available at all times!

LID GREEN PEA AND DUCK –
I bought the duck limited ingredient diet after my 13 year old cat developed a food allergy to Science Diet Senior. His face was swollen and he had weeping sores on his mouth. He had to spend the night at the vet school because he had quit eating his kibbles. After a battery of bloodwork and diagnostic testing, he was diagnosed with a food allergy. The vet recommended a name brand duck and venison prescription diet, but after researching limited ingredient diets, I decided to try Natural Balance. I decided to switch all of my cat’s to the duck & green peas kibbles. I am still weaning them off the old diet to the duck, and I am very pleased with the results. All of my cats seem to enjoy the duck and their skin issues are improving. They also enjoy the duck and venison can food as a treat. Thank you Natural Balance for providing quality food that my cats crave at a reasonable price. Also, thanks to Petstup for their repeat delivery service to my front door!
Good Allergen testing food –
My cat was pulling her fur out and vet couldn’t figure out what the problem was, so we started eliminating. First was food…she loves chicken, so that was the first to go. I used the LID Duck from natural balance, but vet claims it cross-contaminates with chicken, and the lamb cross-contaminates with beef. The only foods to use are rabbit and venison. Cat won’t eat rabbit, but she eats the venison….doesn’t love it, but that’s okay. I use the dry and the wet venison both. After awhile she stopped pulling out her fur. We went back to chicken, just to check, and sure enough, she started pulling it out again. So glad there is this simple option.
