Under the Weather was founded in 2015 by Kyla Sternlieb. As a pet parent herself, this brand was inspired by her Wheaten Terrier, Ruffy who suffered from digestion issues. Instead of time-consuming meal-prepping for her pet, Kyla decided to come out with her very own line of freeze-dried bland diets for dogs! Today Under the Weather also includes supplements for dogs and cats, plus hemp-based soft chews for dogs to support overall health. Under the Weather is also a big supporter of rescuing homeless furry friends, which is why a portion of each sale goes towards the Ruffy Rescue Transport Fund. This fund helps pay for neutering and the transportation of shelter animals from overpopulated areas in the USA to Vermont where they will be put up for adoption so they can find their fur-ever home.
